The Simple Steps to Connect Metamask to Polygon

What is Metamask?
MetaMask is a cryptocurrency wallet that helps to communicate with the Ethereum blockchain from a web browser or a mobile device. Further, it allows you to run Ethereum Dapps (Decentralized Apps) without having to run a full Ethereum node in your browser. However, the major characteristic of Metamask is the development of a personal internal wallet. Perhaps, the strong private keys can help the users AVOID HACKING. However, due to the encrypted connection, no third party may access the funds, making MetaMask secure to use on public and private Wi-Fi. A suitable crypto wallet, such as MetaMask, is required to interact with the Polygon blockchain. Polygon, on the other hand, isn’t added as a network by default in MetaMask. Perhaps, setting up your web wallet to access Polygon is straightforward and takes only a few minutes.
What is a polygon?
Polygon is an Ethereum-compatible blockchain network building and connecting protocol and architecture. Plus, it’s a simple-to-use Ethereum scaling and infrastructure development platform. Basically, Polygon known as the Matic Network is a scaling solution that seeks to give several methods to boost the speed of transactions on blockchain networks while lowering the cost and complexity.
How to Connect MetaMask to Polygon?
To connect MetaMask to other networks such as Polygon, you must first enter some essential blockchain information into MetaMask. Simply follow the steps below to connect MetaMask to Polygon, allowing you to take advantage of Polygon’s fast-expanding DeFi ecosphere and reduced transaction charges.
Step No.1
First, visit the MetaMask browser extension by just clicking the top right of the search engine.
Step No.2
Secondly, at the top right, simply click the logo of your account on the MetaMask app. And, press the button ‘Settings’.
Step No.3
Thirdly, you can see different settings options in the settings window. Select ‘Network.’ All of the networks to which your MetaMask account can connect are listed below. Then, tap the ‘Add Network’ icon to the right.
Step No.4
MetaMask will now prompt you to enter a Network Name, a ChainID, a New RPC URL, a Block Explorer URL, and Symbol. Enter the following information to add the Polygon network to your MetaMask wallet:
- Matic Mainnet is the name of the network.
- The chain number is 137
- A new RPC URL is: https://polygon-rpc.com/.
- MATIC is a symbol.
- And, the URL for Block Explorer: https://polygonscan.com/
- The MATIC token pays all charges on the Polygon Network.
Step No.5
Lastly, connect your MetaMask wallet to the network. To do so, go to the top of your MetaMask wallet and click on the current network. Then select Matic Mainnet.
See how easy it is to connect the MetaMask wallet to the Polygon network? So, with Polygon configured in MetaMask, you can begin making transfers, going to collect NFTs, interacting with DeFiDApps, as well as able to manage your cryptocurrency. Tokens can even be swapped without leaving the extension. Moreover, MetaMask not only supports the Ethereum network and Polygon, but also the entire Ethereum Virtual Machine, including Binance Smart Chain.
